One of the most frequently asked questions is, Are Midwives and Doulas the same?  Although both work with labor and delivery their roles are very much different.  Midwives are medical professional that assist pregnant women during labor and delivery.  Midwives are able to deliver babies in a home, hospital or birth center. 

Doulas are unable to deliver or catch babies. 

Yesssss you read that right!! Doulas are not just for the mom like your OB. A Doula is also there to provide support for Dad in any area where it's needed. Most of the time during pregnancy Dad is forgotten. This is a new experience for him as well. Dad needs the proper support so that he can support Mom in the way she would like for him too.
